Member BWI (Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, South Africa)

 

 

Biodiversity South Africa depends on biodiversity in order to meet its quality requirements - winemakers (led by "Wines of South Africa" – WOSA an export association) pushed for a debate with local environmentalists and found "Biodiversity & Wine Initiative" (BWI) in 2004. Sonop wine farm in the process of committing 10 Ha to the BWI in order to protect and sustain indigenous plants and species, while maintaining an active BWI member status presently.

 

 

 

 

 

IPW (Integrated Production of Wine)

 
Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) is a voluntary environmental sustainability scheme established by the South African wine industry in 1998.
